Colorado

Colorado State Board Examiners DC License Renewal Requirements consist of 15 hours that must be completed per year from November 1st through October 31st. Renewal period is every two years. At renewal time, every chiropractor must provide proof of the 15 CE hours during each of the years in the renewal period, which is 30 hours total. 10 hours may be taken online per renewal period.

Important Notice

In Colorado, it is illegal to practice without a valid license, so it is best to complete these hours early.

Courses in the promotion of practice building or office management do not satisfy the requirements. Courses in practices which are outside the chiropractic scope of practice also do not satisfy the requirements.

Note: A new licensee, within a period of twelve (12) months or less, is not required to submit CE for license renewal. If a licensee has been licensed for longer than twelve (12) months before the first license renewal period, the licensee is required to submit fifteen (15) of the CE credit hours per year as indicated above.
